Spent the day exploring Mount Isa, visiting the underground hospital, Moondara Lake, driving around the town and seeing as much of the mine as we could access. Interesting place. We were intrigued to discover a display of Japanese money, prepared for use if they occupied Australia and other countries in south east Asia. WWII must have been absolutely frightening.
Watching the sun set over the town was a great way to finish the day.
