1770 - Seventeen Seventy, QLD

We'd heard from Heather's brother John and Sue that 1770 was a beautiful place to stay, so we gave it a try - they were right! We camped adjacent on the beach and enjoyed a few lovely days playing beach cricket, walking along the beach and exploring the area.

Captain Cook landed on the point, just up the beach from where we camped,  in 1770.  In the bicentennial year, the local town renamed itself 1770 in honour of the occasion. Interesting history, very beautiful and relaxing place to stay. Loved it!
